Seeing Double
This was a very slow painting, it's not perfect, but I'm satisfied with how it came out.
In my opinion, this was a very successful piece.
Shoe
Wire Shoe Sculpture for 3D class.
This class is slowly becoming my favorite class because it's making me think in a 3D way when my brain normally thinks in a 2D way.
Line
In my 3D class we are focusing on line, or a space between point A and point B. It's very challenging, and for homework we had to write down definitions and physical properties of line. This is what I came up with.
- Abstract/Metaphorical ideas/definitions of line:
- A representation of such objects
- A distance between two points
- The path of a moving point
- Distance that suggests space and mass
- Where your eye follows
- General appearance or outline
- No solid areas
- Not always made by a ruler
- May be used to convey a certain emotion
- The beginning of a composition
2. Descriptions of some physical properties of line:
- Straight, curved, wavy (type)
- Vertical, horizontal, diagonal, zigzag (direction)
- Thick, thin
- Harsh, soft
- Fast, slow
- Organic (irregular shape), synthetic (regular, mechanical)
- Implied, actual
- Parallel, adjacent, perpendicular
- Tall, short
- Wide, narrow
Here are some examples I created:
Tromp L'oeil
This is my working on my latest piece in painting class. I enjoy the process and how it's looking so far. I still have a bunch of work ahead of me.
